T High-speed milling spindles with Y-axis feed control and traveling high-precision built-in main spindles The high-speed milling units capable of rotating at max.lOOOOmin-i (optionally 15000min-i) in the X-axis and max.5000min-i (optionally 12000min-i) in the Z-axis can be mounted together with the turning tools on the compact high-rigidity turrets. The turrets' Y-axis feeds allow "all-round machining" by the simultaneous control with the main spindles' X-, Z- and C-axes. To meet the ultra-precision machining of small parts or the high-accuracy and heavy-duty cutting needs, either the A spec. (max.8000min_1) or the B spec. Medium carbon steel S4?C Tapping: M6 (Medium carbon steel S45C V Feed units and bed possessing high stiffness with a minimum amount of thermal displacement The traveling spindles of Wasino's own, the X-Z integral feed units having broad wide-angle slideways and the monoblock bed slideways assure high stiffness to allow high-efficiency machining together with ample capacity of each feed axis thrust. Our own measures against thermal displacement provide outstanding stability in dimensional accuracy. By the combined use of a measuring unit, troublesome dimensional variations after halting at short intervals can be neglected. To provide the turrets with sufficient rigidity and high accuracy for tool indexing, the most advantageous two-piece coupling of large diameter is used for the turret clamping mechanism.
