CU1005 CU 1005: exclusivity

Flexibility Operating autonomy

Working on 3, 4 or 5 axes, the CU 1005 vertical machining centre performs very high precision opera- tions on simple or complex work- pieces. Workpieces are loaded manually, however, an optional robot for auto- matic loading can be fixed at the outset and integrated into the basic configuration. This added flexibility allows the machining-centre to op- erate on a continuous basis, day and night, greatly enhancing its auton- omy and independence. The whole system is constantly CNC super- vised, inspected and controlled.

Ergonomics and functionality Modularity

Thanks to its ergonomic design andcompactness, the CU 1005 opti- mises operator-machine interaction. Security, operating comfort, easy ac- cess to the mechanical and elec- tronic parts: everything has been thought out in a coherent, practical and intelligent manner. The whole machine is equipped with protective devices conforming to the highest security standards and rules of hygiene. The intelligent design of the CU 1005 makes it extremely flexible. A wide range of auxiliary modules and equipment can be added to the ba- sic configuration to extend machin- ing capabilities by adapting them to specific requirements. In addition to its manufacturing flex- ibility and adaptability, the CU 1005 is particularly rigid and stable. Its mechanically welded construc- tion is based on a load-bearing cast- iron frame, providing significant mass as well as great stability, and ensuring an excellent surface finish of machined parts.

A wide range of applications

Whether it be watchmaking, jew-ellery, medical and connector indus- tries, electronics or micromechanics, to name a few, the CU 1005 is ideal for machining extremely high quality workpieces - from a complex proto- type to mass produced parts - for ap- plications in all sectors where very high cutting speeds (thanks to the latest generation of tooling) are es- sential for precision work. A key feature of the CU 1005 is itsversatility, which results from its modular conception and the user- friendliness of its numerical control.
Compact and self-contained, the CU 1005machines on 5 simultaneous axes.Practical and safe access to the tool changer
