Tube Gauge Calculation

The gauge is as critical for determining the correct fit as the outside diameter.

1) Calculate the wall thickness of the tube: Subtract the inside diameter from the outside diameter and divide by 2.

2) The correct tube gauge is found by locating this wall thickness on the accompanying chart. Keep in mind that the greater the wall thickness, the lower the gauge.
