Stauffer pumps requires 25”-68” submergence depending on model. With the installation of this pump, you must tee into the air pressure line, a 7-10 gallon air storage tank with a pressure relief valve set at 125 p.s.i. This tank acts as air storage between pump cycles. This pump requires a 1/2” exhaust from the pump to above the water level and a 1” or larger water discharge to the point of delivery. Air line (200’X1/2”) is supplied with the windmill. Stauffer Pumps are typically used in streams, lakes, ponds, shallow wells or where the customer requires house pressure, etc. The Stauffer positive pumps have a diameter of 3.5”, 4.5”, and 6”.
