The Aeroflex 7200 Configurable Automated Test Set (CATS) platform provides software defined radio (SDR) manufacturers and users with the most state-of-the-art synthetic instrument platform for testing radios and modules available today, while providing future-proof support for next generation devices in the future. The 7200 also performs as a powerful general purpose test platform, capable of testing the most advanced radar, avionics and other communications devices. The 7200 CATS combines innovative design and Aeroflex patented technologies with valued feedback from our customers to deliver the most capable test platform in the industry. The following baseline standard features make the 7200 platform unique in its class: 90 MHz instantaneous generation and measurement bandwidths, typical -108 dBc/Hz phase noise performance, 2.6 GHz frequency range and fast hopping capability, coupled with impressive real-time signal processing power and multiple state-of-the-art data transport mechanisms. The 7200 CATS belongs to our 7000 Series product family and is based on the new Aeroflex Common Platform (CP). The Common Platform represents the most capable, flexible and scalable synthetic test instrumentation architecture in the industry. State-of-the-art hardware and software architectures, leveraging open industry standards, allow Aeroflex to configure CP products to match customer needs while providing them with unmatched upgrade and obsolescence protection in the future. For example, designed-in compatiblity with the Software Communications Architecture (SCA) allows Aeroflex to partner with Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) manufacturers to rapidly provide cost effective and performance matched test capability.
