afc-hd heavy-duty glue shuttle carton former Easily Form the Toughest Top Load Cartons The ADCO AFC-Heavy Duty glue tray former has been designed to stand up to the rigors associated with packaging thick paperboard and corrugated top load carions. The ADCO AFC-HD former is built to last; incorporating a robust welded frame with a rugged drive system for reliable long-term production. The AFC-HD has been designed to form many styles of cartons: large, small. tapered. corrugated (B to 2-flute), as wel as thick caliper paperboard trays or hinge-cover cartons. The forming tooling. which consists of the female cavity, plunger, and carton hopper are ail engineered for quick, consistent, and easy slze changeovers. Formed cartons are consistently stripped off of the forming head by a spécial air cylinder mounted within the plunger. The ADCO AFC-HD is equipped with a plunger overload system, preventing damage to the forming heads in case of a jam. An optiona outfeed conveyor is available to transfer formed cartons to your downstream equipment. An optional synchronized drive system will allow this machine to be coupled to an independent conveyor and the ADCO RAC-HD corrugated tri-seal carton doser. For harsh environments, washdown construction is available, featuring NEMA 4x (IP 65) electricals, hard anodized aluminum, and stainless steel components - there are no plated parts to rust.
