AV4000 2.0 Decoder Product Manual Maintenance 6-3 Liquid Cooling Assembly Cleaning WARNING: When using a compressor to clean the cooling assembly, confirm the air is dry before performing this procedure. Improperly maintained compressor systems can have significant condensation in the line, causing moisture to be forced into the electronics while removing the dust from the cooling system’s radiator. (See Figure 6-1, bottom right.) USEFUL TIP : If a compressor is not available on-site, it is recommended that you use a dust jet (e.g., canned compressed air). Remove all dust / dirt from the cooling assembly’s radiator: 1. Perform the exterior cleaning procedure. (See page 6-2.) 2. Remove the screws holding the cooling assembly’s ventilation cover in-place. (Figure 6-1, left.) 3. Remove the cover to allow access to the assembly. Use care to assure any dust collected on the inside of the vents isn’t dropped into the assembly. 4. Use compressed air to remove all dust / dirt from the assembly’s radiator. 5. Re-install the ventilation cover.
