ABS float switch KS For automatic level control, the KS float switch is impact- and shock-resistant, mercury-free and enviromentally friendly. Moulded using the latest overmoulding process which provides a fully sealed float switch unit. Application The KS float switch is used in liquids for control or signal acti-vation and operates by responding to the liquid level. It is also suitable for use in sewage. Function In the KS float switch a ball moves, depending on the float-ing position, and operates a high quality micro- switch. The recessed rolling surface for the ball ensures trouble-free functioning even if the cable is twisted. Varying the switch-ing differential is achieved by adjusting the cable length at its fastening position. A minimum cable length of 50 mm corresponds to a minimum switching differential of 100 mm. The switching height itself is set by raising or lowering the fixing point by means of an adjustable weight attached to the cable. Care should always be taken that the float switch can float upwards or downwards without any restriction.
