2.2.1. Customer master files >
All the data relating to customers and the customer staff references is recorded and updated in the customer master files. In addition to the address management even more information can be recorded: Sales data like, for example, shipping address, terms of delivery and payment, invoice variables, etc. The language of correspondence – all operating languages are also available as languages of correspondence. Financial accounting data – all characteristics of the subledger account (debtor) are administrated in the customer master files. Representatives who are not on the payroll are recorded here to make it easier to calculate commissions. Customer staff references and customer departments. The customer master files data is used for the correspondence with customers, in various sales processes (quotations, sales orders, packing slips, invoices), in the Intrastat report, in financial accounting and possibly also in the electronic data interchange (EDI). For each customer and fiscal year the turnover figures can be administrated or displayed as planned and actual values. >
