abas Tools are intelligent tools used for customizing the user interface: Database access and queries Creation of documents and forms Customization of screens Creation of user-defined functions which are then integrated into the standard screen Customized buttons User-defined data checks in screens Calling external programs Integration of the automatic data processing from external programs Customization of the user menu Individual help texts Individual requirements can be implemented by means of the tools. Customized evaluations can be run directly from menus. It is also possible to call functions, information and evaluations from the screen dialog. All events which occur during a screen dialog can be linked to any number of own actions. abas ERP supports screen, field and row related events, as well as button triggers and other events. Using the event management you can, for example, prevent the deletion of rows in a table or write the deleted rows in a log file, etc. Java as the language of the Flexible User Interface Program adjustments can be made using the FOP language or Java. abas ERP, therefore, provides two ways to customize your software which perfectly complement each other: The easy-to-learn FOP language and Java as the platform-independent programming language. Java is especially suited to Internet applications and also to abas installations with heterogeneous computer networks. Complex user requirements can be implemented even more efficiently using Java, based on the most up-to-date standards used worldwide. Library modules or ready-made Java components, which are available on the Internet, can be integrated into abas Business Software. Access to databases, report professional generators, the user interface and dialogs are possible via the Java interface. Furthermore, all options in the extensive Java libraries are available.
