1.5. Software architecture

Because of its flexibility abas ERP, the ERP system, will suit your business perfectly. Thanks to its tiered architecture, the business software can be optimally integrated into existing IT environments. abas Business Software is always flexible enough to meet your changing and expanding business requirements - your software is always updated to modern technology standards. abas ERP is flexible and clearly structured due to a tiered software architecture. The basis of the software is the object-oriented database. The application tier is based on the database. It contains the core functions of the software. The presentation tier or the "Flexible User Interface (FOP)" is added as the third tier. This is the interface to the user. The presentation tier consists of the "Individual User Interface", the "Flexible Standard User Interface" and the "abas Tools". abas system basis / Database tier An object-oriented database, the objected-oriented programming languages C++ and Java, as well as C along with the Linux and Windows operating systems, form the basis of abas Business Software. abas core functions / Application tier With abas ERP you will always benefit from a standard software that flexibly supports specific business requirements. The core functions of the Enterprise resource planning software comprise, among others, the following: purchasing, sales, scheduling, materials management / MRP, production / PPC and accounting.
