Log database increases speed and efficiency The object-oriented abas database operates requiring virtually no maintenance. It is prepared for new features in the case of an upgrade. Online data backup is possible during normal operation – either to a backup tape or a shadow database. A 24 hour, 7 days a week operation is therefore guaranteed! International through multilingualism abas ERP is multilingual in the user menu, as well as in the display language. This is based on the Unicode character set. You can work with the same database in different operating languages. For example, your controller can access all international installations and generate evaluations in his native language. At present, abas Business Software is available in the following 28 languages: German, British English, American English, French, Spanish, Italian, Polish, Russian, Hungarian, Czech, Turkish, Romanian, Indonesian, Dutch, Macedonian, Bulgarian, Serbian, Slovenian, Slovak, Portuguese, Chinese (simplified and traditional), Greek, Thai, Arabic, Persian, Vietnamese and Urdu. You can ask your software partner for the respective status of the translation. If required, other languages can easily be supplemented. Open interfaces for the integration of external IT systems External IT systems can be integrated using the abas interfaces "EDP" (ERP data access log), "ERP export and import" and also the standard interfaces "DDE" (Dynamic Data Exchange), Multi-Site, "ActiveX" and "Java API". The standard ODBC (Open Database Connectivity) interface can also be used optionally. These interfaces connect abas Business Software to other IT systems, e.g. CAD, CAQ, PDC and EDI systems, order time recording and personnel time recording, archiving systems, word processing programs, spread sheet, data warehousing or Olap databases. eBusiness solution for medium-sized companies: abas eB Using abas eB you are able to access ERP data via the Internet. ERP data like, for example, stock levels, availability, sales order status, product data or monthly figures can thus always be accessed online. The access permissions and user permissions can be defined. Subsidiaries, sales representatives and vendors can always access up-to-date information and the company transparency is thus increased. On the basis of ready-made Web Applications, such as e.g. Webshop, you can construct your solution as you desire and incorporate your own ideas. abas eB grows along with your requirements and always remains upgradeable.
