M.E.C. TIMING BELT® DD DOUBLE-SIDED BELTS Discount Ref. 12 Group H5 M.E.C. TIMING BELT® DD synchronous belts are made with double notches for the contemporary meshing of notched pulleys along the outside and inside of the belts – just one belt is necessary to transmit movement to a series of pulleys, as well as making it possible to invert movement between the outside and inside pulleys without altering the gear ratio. Classification of M.E.C. TIMING BELT® DD belts M.E.C. TIMING BELT® double sided belts , identified by commercial names next to them, are available in the following pitch diameters and standard width : Pitch code Commercial name Pitch mm inches Standard Widths mm inches (hundredths) Identification of M.E.C. TIMING BELT® DD belts M.E.C. TIMING BELT® DD belts are identified by letters which are preceded and followed by numbers which serve to identify pitch and length, pitch diameter and width respectively. The first number shows the value of the pitch length in tenths of an inch (tenths of an inch times MXL). The letters show the pitch and hence the type of belt. The second number shows the with value in one hundredths of an inch.
